Ten thousand participants, and under a week to move them
The Rift, one of the preeminent gravel races in the world, came to Movemint needing a new registration page built for its 2027 edition, and with it years of race history to bring over — contacts from every previous edition, more than 10,000 participants in total, without losing any of that history along the way. The timeline made it harder: registration was set to launch in under a week, leaving little room for a slow or manual migration. As a global event with participants spread across continents, The Rift also needed a launch that would hold up under international traffic, not just a domestic audience.
One import, then years of history put back to work
Movemint’s upload participant feature let the team import The Rift’s full participant history in one pass rather than rebuilding it record by record, with the migration completed inside that one week window and the event ready to launch on schedule. From there, The Rift used Movemint’s CRM and emailer to retarget thousands of past participants directly, turning years of historical data into an active audience for the launch rather than a static archive.
Seventeen thousand requests in a minute
The migration of 10,000 participants finished in under 10 minutes, with the registration page rebuilt in under 2 days. On launch day Movemint handled 17,000 requests in a single minute, holding up under the demands of The Rift’s global fan base. Combining preserved history, re-engaged past participants and a launch built to take that traffic, The Rift doubled its launch day registrations against the year before. For Movemint it also marks a meaningful step into gravel cycling in Europe.
It’s been so great working with you all. I am proud to represent my event at Movemint. The last 24 hours since launch have been amazing.
