About Bighorn Road 2026

BIGHORN ROAD

Bighorn Road takes the best elements of a classic Colorado fondo and adds a little Bighorn adventure.

Choose from 80, 58, or 31 miles—all featuring quiet roads, big Colorado views, fully stocked aid stations, and one seriously good day on the bike.

STONE SHEEP — 80 MILES

The full Bighorn Road experience. 80 miles and approximately 5,000 feet of climbing along the Eagle and Colorado Rivers, including approximately 20 miles of road-bike-friendly hard-packed dirt on Colorado River Road.

Big miles. Big views. A proper day on the bike.

FANNIN SHEEP — 58 MILES

The sweet spot between our longest and shortest routes. 58 miles with approximately 10 miles of road-bike-friendly hard-packed dirt, delivering plenty of Bighorn character without committing to the full 80.

DALL SHEEP — 31 MILES

Shorter on miles. Not on views. This 100% paved, 31-mile out-and-back features rolling terrain, a few punchy climbs, and some excellent twisting Colorado roads.

E-bike categories are available for the 58- and 31-mile routes.
