About The Essex County Cider Donut Dirt Randonnée 2026
The concept remains beautifully unnecessary: connect some of the best cider donut spots in Essex County using as much dirt as we can possibly find along the way.
Expect rail trails, fire roads, mountain bike trails, sand, mud, questionable connectors, forgotten paths, and probably a few sections that are difficult to categorize.
The Full Route (~100 miles) is a BIG day on the bike. Most riders should plan on 8–10 hours, with 4–5 cider donut stops along the way. Train your legs. More importantly, train your stomach.
The Short Route (~50 miles) still delivers plenty of dirt, donuts, and questionable route choices, and usually takes around 4 hours.
Both routes start and finish at Munroe Velo in Topsfield, MA. (Routes will be emailed out prior to the event)
Arrive around 7:30am. We roll at 8:00am sharp.
Last year’s turnout was MASSIVE, and as the ride has grown, so have the costs of putting it on... insurance, porta potties, beer, pizza, and all the other behind-the-scenes stuff that makes the day happen. Your $15 helps us keep this thing rolling and make it an even better day for everyone.
This is a self-supported adventure ride, not a race. Come prepared for a long day, weird terrain, and one of our favorite rides of the year.
