About FRICK PARK RACE 1: 5-MILE SPEED (Opening Night)

Year 2 of the Frick Park Trail Race Series is finally here! 

Race #1 is the shortest distance of our four races and all on wide paths, no single-track. It's not a walk-in-the park, though. With 600 feet of climb, it's still a challenging course. The aid station is at Mile 3.2, once you leave Nature Trail and hop on South Clayton.

 Day of Registration for $30. Card or Cash. You must be there by 5:45pm to register and receive a bib!

Race Dates/Times 

• Race #1 Wednesday, April 30th 6:00pm
• Race #2 Wednesday, May 7th 6:00pm
• Race #3 Wednesday, May 14th 6:30pm
• Race #4 Wednesday, May 21st 6:30pm

Each race is roughly 5-6 miles in length. Races 1, 2 and 4 will be traditional races, whereas Race #3 (May 14th) will be an orienteering-themed event. Think scavenger hunt with checkpoints and no set course.

There will be 1 aid station out there for Race #1 (South Clayton Trail) with gels, water and small snacks.

We'll have prizes for Top 3 Men, Women and Non-Binary. Lula La Chula will have their food cart, serving tasty Oaxacan food after every race.

Race shirts will be provided to all registrants this year. You only receive 1 race throughout the series, although anyone who signs up for the whole series receives a special item at our final race. T-shirt design will be unveiled March 1st, 2025. This year's design crafted by the super talented Tara Banatwala.

You need to be registered by April 23rd, 2025 to be guaranteed a t-shirt for Race #1. No guarantees after April 23rd because we need to reserve t-shirts for the other three races.

Packet Pick-Up: 7105 Reynolds Street. Paper + Dirt. Directly to the right of Frick Park Market and across the street from Sterrett Classical Academy/Middle School.

Start/Finish Area

The grassy area between the Frick Park Lawn Bowling Courts (7300 Reynolds Street) and the Reynolds Street Gatehouse Entrance. Directly across the street from the Frick Museum Reynolds Street entrance.
