About Golden Ears Trail Run 2027

Join us at Golden Ears Provincial Park for a 5 Peaks Trail Run for all ages, abilities, and ambitions. As one of the largest parks in the province, Golden Ears Park is prized for its recreational opportunities. The extensive system of trails within the park provides an excellent opportunity for hiking and horseback riding, and of course, trail running.

Location: Alouette Lake South Beach, Golden Ears Provincial Park

Race Distances:

• Kids Fun Run – 1 km (FREE)
• Kids Timed Run – 3 km
• Sport Run or Hike – 7.25 km
• Enduro Run or Hike – 12 km
• Grit Run – 16 km

Race distances and routes are subject to change based on trail conditions up to the day of the race.

Event Schedule (Saturday, May 1st):

• 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – Packet Pick-Up and 1K Kids Fun Run registration
• 8:00 a.m. – Grit Course Start (self seeding)
• 8:05 a.m. – Enduro Hikers and Sport Hikers Start
• 8:15 a.m. – 3K Timed Kids Run Starts
• 8:45 a.m. – 1K Kids Fun Run Starts
• 8:55 a.m. – Pre-Race Briefing Enduro Runners
• 9:00 a.m. – Enduro Course Start (self seeding)
• 9:10 a.m. – Pre-Race Briefing Sport Runners
• 9:15 a.m. – Sport Course Start (self seeding)

Friday, April 30th – Packet Pick-Up:

• 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Distance Runwear, 1328 Main Street, North Vancouver

Hikers Division: This non-competitive division is for those who want to participate without worrying about time. Led by pace leaders, hikers start 1 hour early and walk/hike the entire course without fear of cut-offs. Estimated finish times: 2 hrs for Sport course, 3 hrs for Enduro. This is NOT an early start for runners.

Cup-Free Event: All events are cup-free. Water and electrolyte drink will be available at the start/finish and at aid stations. If you plan to be out for longer than an hour, please carry a receptacle for liquid.

Safety Rules – Not Permitted on Course:

• No dogs
• No headphones
• No strollers, baby joggers, or baby carriers
• No nordic walking poles (except hiking divisions)

Parking: Parking Lot 2 near the Start/Finish area. 2-minute walk to check-in. Carpool to minimize impact.

Swag & Awards: Optional finisher medals and swag can be pre-purchased while registering. Awards presented to top 3 finishers in each gender/age/distance category. All awards must be picked up at the race.
