About Moore Creek MTB Grasshopper 2026
Join us on Sept. 20th for the Moore Creek Grasshopper in St. Helena, Napa County. Decades of planning, fundraising and trail building in Moore Creek Park, Lake Hennessey, and the lengendary trails at Pacific Union College in Angwin have established themselves as world class MTB destination that will thrill and challenge riders. From the picturesque Napa Valley vineyards we climb up to Angwin. Here the course twists, turns and meanders through the maze of PUC before heading over to some new trails built by Redwood Trails Alliance. This 35 +/- Grasshopper is an XC MTB event, though with the right set up is rideable on a gravel bike. A portion of the proceeds of the event support the work done by Redwood Trails Alliance in Sonoma, Napa and Lake County.
This will be a timed race this year but everyone is welcome to enjoy the course at their own pace. We'll have three fully stocked feed zones, robust course markings, and delicious lunch and beverages at Wappo Park at the end of the day.

Location/ Venue: Moore Creek Park, Napa Valley (St. Helena)
Set on the northeastern side of Lake Hennessey just outside St. Helena, Moore Creek Park blends oak woodlands, chaparral ridges, grassy hillsides, and shaded creek corridors into a super-scenic trail network. Expect a mix of singletrack and dirt roads with steady climbs, rolling ridge sections, and lakeside traverses, classic Napa foothill terrain. The park’s system spans ~25 miles and now connects to the Pacific Union College trail network (adding another ~35 miles nearby), creating a larger web of flowy, bike-friendly trails with big-valley views.
