About Chase the Throne NYC

Chase the Throne is a four week head-to-head elimination racing tournament. At the start of the tournament, every runner is randomly placed into a March Madness style bracket in their city. Each week our team picks a segment in each city. Each week runners have to post a time faster than their opponent on that segment in order to advance. There are four rounds of competition and in the last round the final competitors all race for their shot at the throne.

The opening round (1/5-1/11) in NYC kicks off January 5 with a 2.4 mile segment through the lower loop of Central Park. Round two (1-12-1/18) send the surviving runners up Battle Pass Hill, followed by round three (1/19-1/25) ripping along the West Side Highway. The final round (1/26-2/1) will take runners across the Williamsburg Bridge twice - from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back. Full segment details are available on the Trials of Miles website here.

This year, all registered runners will also receive a Chase the Throne hat from Fractel, available for pickup during Round 1 at Brooklyn Running Company.
