XCO Course Map: Massanutten Hoo-Ha XCO State Championship
A 4-mile lap of rocks, roots, and power climbs. Expect baby heads and fast lines. Laps vary by category.
Bring your A-game—this one doesn’t make friends.
Uphill Time Trial Course Map: UpHill Time Trial for the Massanutten Hoo-Ha State Championship
This climb lulls you in with smooth trail, but don’t get comfy. It gets steeper, looser, and rougher the higher you go.
- Starts out tame—just enough to get the legs spinning.
- Midway, the gradient kicks up, the line narrows, and your legs start asking questions.
- The final pitch is a test of grit and traction—expect chunky terrain, roots, and a gasping finish.
It’s a pure power test. Pace it wrong, and you’ll blow up before the final push. Nail it, and you might just ride into legend.
It's a good climb but do some shuttle laps in between the XCO and your start time to “warm up”

About the DH Race:
Two versions - Single-Crown XC and Triple-Crown “Big Balls”
-
Crunchy! A Single Crown Friendly Race, built for XC Rigs & Racers
Racers will compete on Crunchy which is 100% rideable on XC rigs. This isn’t a pro DH course - it’s a speed test designed for cross-country riders. We’re not racing on the gnarliest race trails. This course is specifically chosen to be approachable and fun on a short-travel bike, but still challenging enough to separate the brave from the hesitant. -
Pro Cup! A Triple Crown Full Send Course, built to push the limits of Suspension and Gravity
Racers will compete on the Pro Cup DH course. This is the “Big Balls” DH and it ain't for the faint of heart.
A LIFT PASS IS REQUIRED FOR SUNDAY RACERS!

Looking for one last big weekend before the season winds down?
Come to Massanutten Resort for the 2025 Virginia State MTB Championship & Hoo-Ha! Weekend - where racing meets relaxation.
By the end of the weekend, we’ll crown multiple Virginia State Champions with medals awarded for Cross-Country Olympic (XCO), Uphill Time Trial, and Downhill Individual (DHI) - with categories split out as far and wide as we can imagine. It’s all USA Cycling sanctioned, so you’re not just riding for glory - you’re earning points that could boost your call-up at next year’s Nationals.
But this weekend isn’t just for racers.
Bring the whole family and make it a mini mountain getaway. While you’re chasing the podium, they can ride the scenic lift, splash around at the indoor water park, or just relax and take in the stunning Blue Ridge views.
Race hard. Rest well. Make memories.
