Each route starts at the Sports Basement in the Presidio, in San Francisco. Address is 610 Old Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94129
- 35 Mile Route: The 35 mile route ends at the Oakland Sprouts Market, 3035 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94611. There are plenty of public transport options to bring you back to the Sports Basement in San Francisco, including buses, BART and Ferries.

I've never gone this far! Are you sure I can do this?
Cyclists who take part in The Bay Ride discover that there is more in them than they know, with 68% of our riders cycling farther than they ever have before. Whether you've never ridden 35 miles or have done a century but 135 miles seems a bit too far, YOU CAN DO THIS! We have created training plans for both routes and we encourage you to reach out to info@livethebay.org for any questions or concerns.
See training plans here: https://www.thebayride.com/general-8
What If I want to go farther than 35 miles? Is the cost the same for the different routes?
YES! We purposefully have designed these routes to be identical for the first 35 miles so that should you want to keep going, there is no added cost or logistics to sign up for - just keeping riding! We encourage everyone to push themselves and make the next aid station.
What kind of support is offered? Are there aid stations? Are there cutoff times?
We are here to support you on your journey including a ride coordinator, two SAG cars, and four aid stations. There will be several aid stations along the route, offering bathrooms, water, and snacks. Please be mindful of cut off times.
