About Oakland Marathon: Commitment Day

Join us for a FREE night of celebration on September 30th as Oakland's running community comes together for our first-ever Oakland Marathon Commitment Day⚡️ Starting the countdown to Oakland Marathon 2027 (March 21, 2027), we want to bring together the Bay Area and commit to making Oakland Marathon the race you don't want to miss.

We'll kick things off with a short 3-mile shakeout run around Lake Merritt at 6:30pm, led by our friends at Town Strides.

Then at 7:30pm, you'll head to Oakland Athletic Club for:
